Alas, I do not have a few key ingredients to whip up the batch of No. 12 (don't panic Al, I'll get them!) so I haven't made soap today. But I can still trim & wrap ... in anticipation of (drumroll please) the new soap labels!! They should be arriving this week, and it is all quite exciting. Thanks to the amazing & talented Signgirl (yay!) they are going to be as spectacular as soap labels can be. We've even put a teeny little Wooly Bear caterpillar on them.. sooo cute!
In other news, Beth's Old Dog Bump has been revealed as just that, nothing more. Whew!
And in other other news, I will now make public a promise I've made to myself - I will have a new pup by no later than Christmas 2013. My girls are awesome, but Beth is nearly 13, and Bounce nearly 11.. it is time to bring in a new pup, to learn from them how to be a Good Dog; and as painful as it is to contemplate, to be there for Bounce when her mother dies, and there for me when it is time for Bounce to go.
I have loved & lost so many dogs, and for me, there is one concrete truth - that love must have somewhere to go, and I feel strongly that it goes on, into the next life.
can't remember who said it, but "I could live without dogs, but it wouldn't be much of a life" and then there is "dogs are not our whole lives, but they make our lives whole"
now, if you'll excuse me, I have collies to hug.
