On the facial lotion front, I may actually have to concede (temporary) defeat. My third attempt was a disaster, start to finish!! The oils didn't emulsify well, the mixture curdled.. eyewwww. At this point I'm blaming the temperatures in the house. In spite of my best efforts & some nice dry wood, it has been hovering in the 40's in here for weeks. Think spring boys n' girls!!
We are coming up on the one year anniversary of the "new" cats here at home. Holly & Rico are finally settling in to the groove around here - when they can hang out downstairs and when they need to avoid the living room because of Beth. Of my 2 dogs, Beth is the one who wants to eat a cat. Fortunately, she's 13 and really easy to out manuever.
I was keeping this good news under my hat until I saw where it went, but alas,,.. it has fizzled. I WAS going to be the proud new person of a fabulous young Border collie.. but her owner decided to home her elsewhere. I think it had a lot to do w/ the fact that the dog lives in Northern California, and I don't. Hmm. I'm sure Kate will be happy at her new home. And I will continue to look for a new collie to bring into my heart. Beth is 13 & Bounce 11.. it is time for a young dog around here!
I hope you're all doing well, staying warm while you play in the snow or sit by the fire.. whatever floats your boat!!
