Soap production has slowed to nearly nothing, but I still have about 5 batches curing, ready to be trimmed & wrapped for the craft sale next month. Alas, the charcoal soap didn't come out as well as planned. I added too much charcoal to the batch I think. Ah well, mistakes are how we learn, right?!
I do have a few more ideas knocking around in my head that I want to play with, but even if I made the soaps today they wouldn't be ready in time. So keep an eye out.. I'll let you know what is going on w/ the soap pot, when there is anything new going on.
In critter news there is blissfully nothing new going on. Holly & Rico continue to hunt every night, I find the occasional mouse carcass or part of one left on the bedroom floor. Beth is about to turn 13 in January, she is now officially an Old Dog. Her hearing is atrocious, unless I am opening a can of something. Strange, eh? And Bounce, although she will be 11 in December, has not stopped acting like a puppy yet. She is such a joy, I can't tell you.
I saw a quote the other day that I liked, and if you're a dog person you might like it too - "Life is a series of dogs" and that is so true for me. I remember highlights by the dog I was with at the time. I've been very lucky to have quite a few dog highlights too. Some could be called "lowlights" really, but however you look at them, I remember what dogs I was with at the time.
think I'll go hug a collie right now... hope you're having a wonderful day, whoever you decide to hug!
