that's changed. This is going to be my Summer Of The Bear. I had "company" last week; as I was about to walk out my front door to walk the dogs one night, there was a BIG black bear on my front step, pressing its nose to the glass front door. Beth barked at it and it slowly retreated, but we still skipped our evening constitutional. (no? really?!)
Last night the bruin was back, and although we didn't have an actual sighting, it had mauled a bucket that apparently smelled too much like it prior contents. (almond butter) The bucket was empty, washed and closed but sitting on the woodpile waiting to go inside. I forgot.
The poor defenseless bucket now has great big teeth marks in it. And I do mean Great Big. I can fit my pinky finger into one.
I am going to be super careful now on our walks.. can't wait for winter, that's hibernation time!!
Other than whistling loudly whenever I'm outside, I've been working on some inventory too.
