now when this topic comes up in your annual Trivial Pursuit tournament, you'll be ready! You're welcome. (hee)
Our holiday here was very quiet, which suits me just fine. I had my little hilltop all to myself. The squirrels, chickadees and blue jays kept me entertained, got a few phone calls from Dan but mostly I just hung out in front of the woodstove working on a lovely new sweater just for me. I've made this particular pattern four times now... the first one was nearly 20 years ago, and although I still have that sweater, it is pretty well threadbare. I gave away #2, kept #3 and am knitting #4 with variations. What can I say... it is a fun to knit pattern and a great to wear sweater. If I do one every four or five years, that's ok... right?!
Holly, Rico, Beth & Bounce were all pretty happy to have me home - I can keep the woodstove loaded & burning hot if I don't have to be gone for 8 hours a day. I also made a small turkey dinner, quite yummy, and some tidbits were shared w/ the girls and Rico.. merry Christmas my friends!
The soap room overhaul continues - minor drawback that the room currently has no heat at all, making it difficult to spend any length of time cleaning. I start to lose feeling in my feet & hands, despite fingerless mitts and woolen slippers. But nevertheless, although the work has been slow, it hasn't stopped. I can now stroll across the room itself and nearly all flat surfaces are clear. I still have to organize the lip balm section, "refluff" the catnip mouse & dog biscuit inventory after some holiday depletion and last but most certainly not least - the end of year paperwork must be done. I best get to that as the end of the year is less than a week away!
I trust that you all had a sparkling holiday, full of friends, family and just enough eggnog to hold you until next Christmas! Merry merry everyone!
